Aggregate Industries - Do Your Bit
We’ve helped create and implement an engagement programme for employees of Aggregate Industries, a global supplier of heavy building materials and aggregates, to promote the long-term vision and new business strategy of parent company Holcim Group.
To inspire all UK staff to take personal responsibility for achieving business goals, we created a distinctive look and feel, a unique icon and a direct call to action: Do Your Bit. Flexed across four priority areas – safety, efficiency, excellence and development – Do Your Bit has been rolled out across key communication channels such as the staff magazine Agenda, weekly team bulletins and newsletters.
For the safety pillar, we developed a behaviour change campaign highlighting the simple things staff can and should do to stay safe at work. Aimed at the entire workforce, the initial communications included a short video animation and a series of posters based on genuine employee stories.
To further support the campaign, we delivered a series of health and safety workshops, attended by senior colleagues and volunteer ‘safety champions’. The interactive, team-based sessions provided the knowledge and tools needed to drive safety improvements across the business, as well as information about behaviour change principles and techniques.
Following the workshops, 92% of attendees felt empowered to deliver change.
